Facebook recent changes Mean for the user-Open Graph "Like" button, and much more

Recent F8 Conference, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and you have made changes to the information for the purpose of a lot, and I get some of the questions you've been.

The truth is told, some of which were was a little complex to Facebook--casual, everyday business owner user, so you are not alone it heard and Kinda went "huh?"

Instead, write all the plug-ins and outs, which has recently been changed long analysis, I thought I give a small business owner should be aware of the more important the nuggets.

1) Longer "Fan page"

What was once called "Fan pages" now known as the "official" pages, to distinguish them from the community pages--which I will address below. Takes a bit to get to, like all had come to throw "fan of the terminology around chatting business on Facebook. Now you can "Like" page instead.

Not a fan of this new terminology? Many people are not. (I) you have to refer to the fans "supporters" now-which Unfortunately is somewhat less pizazz in my mind.)I was one of the people who believed "fan" agree that were around the building to your community or fanbase idea.

But unfortunately, such an evolution of social media.

If you are using on your site with Facebook's Fan Box Widget, Fan button automatically is Like when they rolled out a change, however, if you are using a custom label or button you want to change it, or is likely to Find new terms new.

There is a need for some ideas on how Word inviting people to support your own page? If you love, saying "Like us on Facebook", maybe say "join us, Facebook," "Visit us on Facebook" or "Support our page."

2) Facebook "open Graph" and "Like" button

Facebook Connect was formerly a tool that allows for software, Web sites, mobile devices and more Facebook integrate and send the data within them. Facebook connect is now in the process of being by stages, since the last F8 Conference, Facebook announced the launch of something called "Open Graph" Keynote speech in the Mark Zuckerberg said that this would give the people "is in the social and personal experience everywhere they go."

This new platform will allow sites to share information easily with each other. for example, if you connect to the Web site, such as through a profile on Facebook, yelp yelp has access to data, you have made available publicly favorite bar or kitchen and that are taken into account provides you with information about the concert venues or restaurants can. This is probably the new amendments to the most controversial aspects (doesn't sound right?).

"Like" a button that can be added to any site General deployment was also announced at the Conference. For example, you can like (or "Recommend"): this week's article sharing your friends on Facebook.Like the button to also show that Facebook friends already have wanted the same article. When you like something, this action appears in the Facebook Wall and news feed.

If you are running WordPress, you can now install the plugin you can add your own blog Like button and that can derive support in the WordPress site.

3) Pages and add a merged profiles

You may have noticed also that Facebook is now made further pages and profile Pages now when linking. can be linked to your profile information, such as city, hometown, interests, etc., you can see the details tab has been changed and that now you don't have the link pages that reflect about.

This is probably my that Facebook has made at least favorite tweak (I just have to love the way that you automatically again all my interests, education info, etc.), but it is important to note that the users have the ability to control these connections privacy. you can edit the information by visiting the "edit my Profile", as shown in the illustration, and adjust your privacy privacy settings menu.

4) the introduction of Community pages

Facebook has also recently introduced the concept of "Community pages", where you can also create the same page as the official pages, with the exception of the right of the Community pages are "unofficial" pages that have been created for Facebook users to certain causes of topics these pages on Facebook says "create a support your favorite cause or topic by creating a community page. If it becomes very popular, it adopted and maintained by the Facebook community."

With social media in General, it seems the only continuously with Facebook is a change---whether we want to do or not.)
